Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT)

The Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT) was established as a professional body through the Technologists & Technicians Act 2015 (Act 768), to register and recognize Professional Technologists and Certified Technicians as professionals in related technology and technical fields.

MBOT looks at technology-based professions that cuts across disciplines from conceptual design to a realized technology and covers from Technicians (with SKM/Diploma Level) up to Technologists (Bachelor’s Degree level and above). As a whole, these professionals (Technologists and Technicians) have integrated roles from concept to reality.

Memorandum of Understanding

WIM has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)  with the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT) for WIM’s  appointment as a member of Technology Expert Panel (TEP) in a related technology field recognised by MBOT. In this respect WIM shall

  • Assist and provide necessary advice to the Technology and Technical Accreditation Council for/during technology program accreditation
  • Develop and propose professional assessment framework or anything related to professional assessment for the related technology field
  • Develop and propose practicing provisions or best practices for professionals in the respective technology field
  • Perform the scope of work in accordance to the TEP Terms of Reference and any mutually agreed scope of work which shall be defined from time to time
