I am very honoured to be the first Chairman of the Welding Institute (Malaysia) Bhd or better known as the Welding Institute of Malaysia (WIM). Establishing the organisation and promoting it throughout industry has been challenging but very rewarding. I am confident that WIM will grow rapidly through attention to its various activities and programmes. I would like to thank all parties concerned in the welding and joining sectors and the professional associations for their strong and continuing support.
WIM is a non-profit organisation operating in the national interest and for the benefit of its members. Our aim is to promote awareness of the essential nature of welding, joining and related activities in line with the industrial growth of Malaysia and to keep abreast of the latest technological advancements.
Both individual and company memberships are available, giving access to anyone interested in welding and joining information from the International Institute of Welding (IIW), The Welding Institute (TWI), UK relating to the latest advances in welding technology. We disseminate this information through our website, newsletter, publications, seminars and meetings. WIM is truly the premier source of welding and joining knowledge in Malaysia.
